Oxford and Cornwall

After picking up the car we then spent a couple of nights with a friend from my school days. The family made us very welcome and it was great to catch up.
While they were at work on the Thursday Paul and I caught a train to Oxford and did the hop-on hop-off bus around Oxford and then got off and walked around the town. We also went to a museum which was interesting.
On Friday morning we set off to Cornwall via Salisbury and Stonehenge. Salisbury Cathedral was again impressive although we weren't allowed in due to Easter Services. We then drove past Stonehenge. We were going to stop but it took about 45 minutes to drive past it (it was bumper to bumper for quite a while on the road) and we were worried if we went in then we would have trouble getting out again. We did see it from the road though.
We arrived in Cornwall later than we thought we would but made it in one piece.
We had dinner at a local pub and then went back to our B&B for the evening.
Today we had a look around Wadebridge in the morning and then drove to Padstow. We caught a ferry over to Polzeath and walked about 6 miles (round trip) to get to look at the town. We had a Cornish Pasty for lunch and then caught the ferry back to Padstow. Had a glass of wine (beer for Paul) and then came back to our accomodation for a rest before tea.
The B&B is lovely although the bar fridge in the room is a little small. Emphasis on small!
